AION Watch Branding
AION is a brand that provides wristwatches made from natural wood with interchangeable straps to suit your style. AION was founded in 2022 and uses a vintage visual style so that it requires the right visual appearance to remain relevant to current trends.
With the main theme “Fairy Tales”, the moodboard that was created tried to give a dynamic and vintage touch in order to show an exclusive impression. The use of dynamic typography and displays a monogram formed from simplification of the logotype. The floral element in the logo plays an important role in showing a natural impression considering the main material of this brand.
Multi-layer die-cut packaging with blind emboss and gold foil on the surfaces adds a touch of a class while enhancing the unboxing experience. Furthermore, the consistency of brand colors and graphic elements makes the brand gain credibility and stand out from the crowd.
In Greek mythology, before the world was created, there was a period when the time is boundless and undefined, also known as AION. Now, AION release the first series of their wristwatch, Chronos. These graphic elements are taken from Greek mythology which is the god of time in the Orphic belief. Aion has a meaning when the period of time is something infinite and nothing grows old.
The tiger and the snake is a visual of the god Chronos who has the head of a tiger and the body of a snake. The tiger is a symbol of courage and the snake is a symbol of life and death with a venom that can be deadly but can also be a medicine.
AION Chronos is our way of conveying the message of life that time never ages with a vintage style approach.
This project was created during an internship at the KYUB Design studio from March to May. The total time to work on the final result is 8 weeks. Directions for making this project were given from Creative Director, Copywriter, several Graphic Designers at KYUB Design.
